David Vs Goliath

David, a young shepherd takes up the challenge to face against the Philistine giant Goliath. Everyone told him he can’t fight the giant because he’s just a kid. David gathers five stones in a slingshot. Now, imagine a boxing ring - David VS Goliath. After engaging in smack talk, David takes the stones from his pouch, loads it into the slingshot and hurls it. The stones hit Goliath’s forehead (between both eyes) and immediately he falls dead on the floor. Unexpectedly David defeats Goliath and everyone is shocked. Victory!

David vs Goliath is inspired by the bible. In modern-day it is used to describe an underdog or a weak opponent (David) against an overachiever or the stronger (Goliath). This perfectly describes how underdogs can fight 'Against All Odds' to overcome challenges in the form of Goliaths.

In today's challenging COVID crisis humanity itself is against all odds. In this scenario, I am referring to Humans as Davids and the Virus as Goliath. Although David appears smaller and weaker than Goliath in the bible, the biggest and only difference in our current situation is that the virus (Goliath) is so small that it is not even visible to the naked eye while humans (David) are clearly bigger in appearance. It is worth mentioning that this tiny Goliath is dangerous to 7.7 billion Davids on this planet, it's knocking our lives and economy out.

One thing to note about David is that even though he's very weak, he knows that also is fully aware of it. Still wants to fight because he's not ok being a loser. David is a very curious person to know what would happen if he gets through these obstacles. On the other hand, Goliath is an arrogant overconfident person who underestimates the underdog, David. However, to his surprise David not only Lee fights but also, as a result, knocks him out full stop from this what we learn is overconfidence is not good and so is not under confidence. On this note, I want to leave you with the thought that be optimistic about the future take action to take those bold steps because the world will get back to normal perhaps even better than what it was pre-pandemic and make each and every move with the leap of faith and believe in yourself.
